What is hibachi at home catering?
Hibachi at home catering brings the full Japanese steakhouse experience directly to your location. A professional hibachi chef arrives with a portable teppanyaki grill, fresh ingredients, and all the necessary equipment. You get the excitement of live cooking — fire tricks, knife skills, and audience interaction — right in your backyard, patio, or any venue in Rhode Island.

We serve all of Rhode Island including Providence, Newport, Cranston, Warwick, Pawtucket, East Providence, Woonsocket, Coventry, Cumberland, North Providence, South Kingstown, West Warwick, Johnston, North Kingstown, Bristol, and surrounding areas. How many guests can you accommodate?
We can accommodate groups ranging from 10 to 100+ guests. For smaller intimate gatherings, one chef can handle up to 30 guests. For larger events like weddings or corporate parties, we bring additional chefs and equipment. Every event is customized to your group size to ensure everyone enjoys a premium hibachi experience.
What's included in the hibachi experience?
Our full hibachi experience includes a professional hibachi chef, portable teppanyaki grill, all cooking equipment and utensils, fresh premium ingredients, appetizers (soup and salad), fried rice, mixed vegetables, your choice of proteins, signature sauces (yum yum sauce, ginger sauce, teriyaki), and a live cooking show with fire tricks and entertainment. We bring everything needed — you just provide the space and the appetite!
Do I need to provide anything?
Very little! We bring all cooking equipment, ingredients, and serving supplies. All we need from you is a flat outdoor surface (like a patio, driveway, or yard) or an indoor space with adequate ventilation, access to an electrical outlet, and a table for the grill setup. We recommend providing seating and plates/utensils for your guests, though we can arrange disposable dinnerware upon request.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance, especially during peak season (May through October). For large events, weddings, or holiday parties, 3-4 weeks advance notice is ideal. However, we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests — give us a call at (929) 888-3653 and we'll see what we can do!
What proteins are available?
Our standard protein options include chicken, steak (filet mignon or NY strip), shrimp, salmon, scallops, and tofu for vegetarian guests. We also offer lobster tail and combination plates. All proteins are sourced fresh and prepared right before your eyes on the hibachi grill.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Absolutely! We regularly accommodate a wide range of dietary needs including gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, shellfish allergies, vegetarian, and vegan options. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies when booking so our chef can prepare accordingly and ensure a safe dining experience for all guests.
How long does a typical hibachi party last?
A typical hibachi party lasts about 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the number of guests. This includes setup time (approximately 30 minutes), the live cooking show and dining experience (1-1.5 hours), and cleanup (approximately 20 minutes). Larger events with more guests may take a bit longer.
What's the minimum number of guests?
Our minimum is typically 10 guests. This ensures the best value and the full hibachi show experience for everyone. If you have a smaller group, contact us — we may be able to work something out depending on availability and location.
Do you set up and clean up?
Yes! Our service is completely turnkey. Our team arrives early to set up the hibachi grill station, prepare the cooking area, and organize all ingredients. After the event, we handle all cleanup — packing up equipment, disposing of waste, and leaving your space clean. You get to enjoy the party without any of the hassle.
What if it rains on the day of my outdoor event?
We understand that Rhode Island weather can be unpredictable! If rain is in the forecast, we recommend having a backup plan such as a covered patio, garage, tent, or indoor space with proper ventilation. We can also reschedule your event at no extra charge with at least 24 hours notice. Our team will work with you to find the best solution.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is based on the number of guests and your protein selections. We offer several packages starting with our Classic package. Each package includes the full hibachi show, appetizers, fried rice, vegetables, and your choice of proteins. Premium add-ons like lobster tail, extra proteins, or specialty items are available. Do you offer kid-friendly options?
Of course! Kids love the hibachi show — the fire tricks and cooking performance are incredibly entertaining for all ages. We offer kid-friendly portions with chicken and fried rice, and our chefs know how to keep the little ones engaged and excited.
